Mission : To help people fulfill their dreams of flying Vintage Aircraft and become better aviators.
FLIGHT TRAINING IN WARBIRD AIRCRAFT
Why Now?
The Warbird Academy was created for two distinct reasons: First, to help keep our rich aviation history alive by offering specialized flight training in a variety of World War II and Post World War II military training aircraft and Secondly, to provide an opportunity for individuals to experience the joys of flying in military aircraft ranging from an open cockpit biplane to a 600 mph jet.
Fly Our Warbirds!
The Warbird Academy offers flight training or orientation flights in five different aircraft: Stearman PT-17, North American AT-6D Texan, Beechcraft Mentor T-34A, North American T-28B Trojan, and the Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star.
Come see our facility and warbirds at the Douglas Municipal Airport (DQH).
The Warbird Academy Grand Opening will be part of the celebrations at the First Annual Douglas, Georgia Veterans Day Weekend Fly-in.
